About

A local plumbing and gas business, run out of Rossmoyne.

28 reviews, two licences, one van, and a service area you can drive across in twenty minutes.

Jacob, portrait orientation, waist up, holding a tool he actually uses or standing at the open van doors. Looking at the camera. Shade or overcast light — not direct sun. This is the single most valuable photograph on the site: it is the one that makes a stranger comfortable letting him into their house.

Jacob

Reflex is Jacob — a licensed plumber and gas fitter working out of Rossmoyne, often on the tools alongside James. The business is built around maintenance and renovation work: bathroom fit-outs, blocked drains, burst pipes, hot water systems and the gas jobs most plumbers can't legally touch.

Jacob and James on a job together, working rather than facing the camera. Someone's hands on a fitting, the other one reaching for a tool. Candid beats staged every time here.

On the tools together. Most jobs are the two of us; you get the same faces each time.

Why we work a small area

Plenty of plumbing outfits will tell you they cover all of Perth. In practice that means a van somewhere north of the river when your pipe bursts in Rossmoyne. We work the City of Canning and the suburbs immediately around it because that is the area we can actually reach quickly — and because knowing the housing stock street by street makes us faster once we arrive.

Licensed for both trades

In Western Australia, gas fitting sits under a separate authorisation from plumbing. A plumber without it cannot legally connect your cooktop or touch your gas hot water unit — which is how a single job turns into two trades, two call-out fees and two waits. Reflex holds both, so it doesn't.

Ask any plumber for their licence number before they start. In WA it has to appear on their advertising, and ours is in the footer of every page on this site. You can check it against the public register at ols.demirs.wa.gov.au.

How we quote

You get a number before we start, not a running clock. If we open something up and the job turns out to be different from what it looked like, we stop and tell you before carrying on. Nobody enjoys the version of this where the invoice is the first time you hear about it.
